Revolutionary Fully Balanced R2R DAC
TOPPING, in collaboration with HOLO Audio, introduces Centaurus, a fully balanced 8-channel R2R DAC. With eight resistor array networks, it handles precise DSD decoding via the "Vector Step Resistance Network" and PCM decoding with a classic R2R structure. Powered by a CPLD unit, it achieves exceptional audio fidelity and ultra-low jitter performance, ensuring pure, detailed sound reproduction.
Three-Mode Switching for Flexible Playback
Centaurus offers NOS, OS, and Best modes. NOS bypasses oversampling for authentic playback at the original sample rate. OS applies oversampling to reduce quantization errors, noise, and enhance SNR and DNR. Best mode automatically adjusts the optimal oversampling rate based on the input and system capabilities, balancing performance and quality.
Customizable Aurora UI
The 2.0-inch full-color screen with three touch buttons enables intuitive control. Users can choose from 9 background colors and switch between FFT, VU, or playback displays. The power button is customizable, and the UI supports bilingual switching between Chinese and English, ensuring convenience from the first use.
Advanced Wireless Audio Support
Equipped with the QCC5125 chip, Centaurus supports Bluetooth 5.1 and codecs including LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX, AAC, and SBC. It delivers wireless audio at up to 96kHz/24bit, offering a music experience beyond CD-level performance.
High-Precision PEQ Adjustment
Centaurus features a 10-band PEQ adjustment system that allows users to fine-tune frequency, gain, and bandwidth for each band. The software supports importing target and raw curves for precise compensation and allows saving multiple profiles for effortless switching. PEQ supports up to PCM 192kHz/32bit on all digital inputs except IIS.
Flexible Output Options
The device includes RCA and XLR outputs with adjustable voltage levels (RCA: 2V/2.5V; XLR: 4V/5V) and supports simultaneous or independent channel output. This ensures compatibility with diverse setups while offering the option to maximize performance.
Preamp Mode for Direct Connectivity
Centaurus features a preamp mode for direct connection to active speakers or pure amplifiers. Output volume can be controlled via remote, eliminating the need for a separate preamp while providing convenient operation.
Seamless Compatibility
Centaurus is compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. The USB input supports up to PCM 768kHz/32bit and DSD512, delivering exceptional performance across various platforms.

Centaurus achieves THD+N <0.0005%, faithfully reproducing every detail of the original recording with clarity and nuance. Its CPLD-optimized clock system ensures jitter as low as -150dB, providing a clean and precise listening experience.

Paired with the A70 Pro headphone amplifier, Centaurus delivers an exceptional performance for both headphones and active speakers. The 12V trigger synchronizes the devices for seamless operation, enhancing convenience and user experience.
